Zeta Beta Tau Foundation

Empowering our brothers: Foundation Grants

The Zeta Beta Foundation assists the collegiate and alumni brothers of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity by funding academic, leadership, heritage and mental health program grants to maximize their personal development and prepare them to be leaders of society. The grants funded by the Foundation enhance the overall value of brotherhood in Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity by complementing the collegiate educational experience.

Heritage Programming

The following programs are designed to celebrate and honor the Fraternity’s Jewish heritage and educate brothers about the importance of maintaining the Fraternity’s inclusive Jewish identity. By encouraging productive dialogue and providing the space to learn, heritage programming enables brothers to promote Zeta Beta Tau’s values on campus and in their community.

Chapter Heritage Grants

Fundamental to Zeta Beta Tau’s heritage education, Chapter Heritage Grants provide chapters the opportunity to create meaningful programs that cultivate relationships within the Jewish community and preserve Zeta Beta Tau’s heritage, often around holidays, Holocaust awareness, and Israel education.

Combatting Campus Antisemitism

The Combatting Campus Antisemitism (CCAS) workshop focuses on the identification of—and the ways to combat—antisemitism. Before participating in the workshop, an average of 55% of brothers felt they could identify examples of antisemitism in today’s world and on college campuses. After the CCAS program, almost 100% of brothers say they can identify antisemitism and articulate the skills necessary to be a hate prevention leader on campus.

Israel Now!

Israel Now! honors the responsibility of the world’s first Jewish Fraternity to educate our brothers on what being a Zionist Fraternity is and what it means to support Israel. Through speakers and meetings, attendees gain a better understanding of Israel (past, present, and future) and how they can be part of conversations within their communities to support Israel.

International Convention

For over 100 years, the International Convention has provided brothers a chance to meet and celebrate their brotherhood while adding to their personal and professional development. The annual gathering combines governance, networking, and education, uniting our undergraduates and alumni for legislative sessions and skill-building workshops. At the upcoming 2025 International Convention, educational programming meets a variety of learning outcomes by cultivating our brothers’ individual social responsibility, integrity, ethical behavior, decision-making, leadership, and dedication to a community culture of care.

Leadership Programming

The following leadership programs have a core purpose: to develop leadership, values-based decision-making, personal strengths, ethics, integrity, and social responsibility programming for college students. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Fraternity reached over 80 percent of active chapters and 400 individual chapter leaders.

James E. Greer, Jr. Presidents’ Leadership Academy

Chapter presidents attend an intensive leadership development program that challenges them to create positive change in their chapters and communities. While growing relationships with fellow undergraduates, alumni, and Fraternity leaders, these presidents are equipped with the necessary tools and skills to be servant-leaders and change-makers.

Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI)

Designed for newer brothers, ELI provides fundamental leadership education in a cohort-style learning model, enabling brothers to share their successes and challenges as the year progresses, creating a litany of ideas for them to build upon. Through a series of virtual discussions, brothers discover the power they have in making a broader impact on their campus and beyond. ELI culminates with a leadership development track at International Convention, allowing brothers to not only learn but also meet their peers in person.

Regional Officer Institutes (ROI)

Centering around Executive Board-level leadership opportunities for the brothers who serve their chapters, this long-standing program provides in-person workshops to Chapter Officers. ROIs focus on financial management, goal setting, risk mitigation, and accountability skills. And, to ensure brothers understand and implement what they learn, they use their chapter’s management as a hands-on, real-world example.

Mental Health Programming

MANUAL Partnership

Dedicated specifically to men’s mental health, MANUAL employs coaching, education, and engagement to reach all our undergraduate brothers where they are. When our brothers are automatically enrolled, they immediately receive 24/7 access to MANUAL’s evidence-based video library, livestreams, newsletters, and private peer networks, supporting mental and physical well-being year-round. The usage of the MANUAL portal has been phenomenal: 92% of brothers have utilized it an average of 16 times during the year, and 46% are accessing MANUAL weekly.

With Gratitude

None of these experiences would exist without our donors’ commitment to Zeta Beta Tau. On behalf of every brother empowered and supported by these programs, the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation extends our deepest appreciation. Together, we are building a stronger brotherhood.
