Spotlight: Evan and Chuck Pollack
Issue: Fall 2025
The concept of “Wearing your letters with pride” has a special meaning to the Founding Chapter President of ZBT’s new Kennesaw State chapter in the Atlanta area.
“My dad was a member of the Alpha Chapter (spring pledge class 1981) at The George Washington University. Being part of the same brotherhood has always meant a lot to me,” shared Brother Evan D. Pollack, 2027. “While cleaning out our basement, I found his ZBT jacket. I told him I wanted it, and he said, ‘You’re going to have to join first.’”
Evan took the challenge to heart, stepping up to be a Founding Father of the new ZBT Chapter.
“Years later, when I chose to attend Kennesaw State University, I was disappointed to learn that ZBT was not on campus. During my first two years, I chose not to join a fraternity,” he continued. “Then, in my junior year, I found out that ZBT was returning to KSU, and it felt like the right time.”
His father, Charles (Chuck) I. Pollack, Esq., Alpha (The George Washington University) 1984, was there when Evan was initiated. And of course, he got the ZBT jacket.
“My dad initiated me and passed down the jacket I found years earlier. Being elected the first president of the founding class made the experience feel very special,” Evan said. “Additionally, starting a chapter as an upperclassman provided me with the opportunity to mentor others who began the chapter with me, as I understand what it’s like to be new to college. For all of the Founding Fathers at KSU, this experience has been both meaningful and memorable.”
Evan said he has found a sense of belonging in ZBT. He has been a driving factor in starting the new Prospective Chapter, recruiting a core group of friends who blossomed to a 10-man chapter.
“Connecting with members of other organizations has helped us find our way on campus.
Being part of the IFC on Bid Day showed me how connected we are to the larger campus community,” he said. “Our focus as a chapter is on philanthropy and making a difference. Creating something new has been a rewarding experience, and we are proud to see it grow.”
The Pollacks live in Alpharetta. Brother Chuck is an attorney in the area, and he has been providing alumni mentorship to the KSU brothers.
The KSU brothers still need additional Chapter Advisor support. For any alumni in the area or who wish to serve a growing chapter, please see more on how to get involved.
ZBT takes great pride in growing our family, like the Pollacks. The recruitment of legacies — sons, grandsons and brothers of any ZBT chapter or prospective chapter — helps ensure we identify young men of good character. Recommend a pote
