ZBT making moves at Monmouth

Small can be mighty. ZBT’s Delta Lambda Chapter is the embodiment of what a fraternity should be like on a small campus. This powerhouse of excellence is earning many national and local recognitions for its success and leadership at Monmouth College. Some exciting advancements are coming up for these brothers.

Best of the Best

Delta Lambda Chapter at Monmouth College was recognized as one of the top overall fraternity chapters for 2025 by the North American Interfraternity Conference (the national Interfraternity Council organization). Just five chapters across all of North America were selected this year for their exceptional operations, community involvement and fraternity experience. Read more on this honor.

“We thank all who came to support us during the ceremony, including alumni, friends and (ZBT international representatives). We also deeply thank anyone involved in presenting us with this esteemed award. We are all super proud of each other for all the hard work the brothers of Delta Lambda do,” the Chapter shared in an announcement.

This Chapter has been among ZBT’s top operational and educational chapters for several years, including a Brummer Cup win in 2021. The chapter calendar is very full, with almost monthly philanthropy and service events. Many brothers are members of Order of Omega academic honorary, and the Chapter has a 3.1 total GPA. The Chapter recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and it maintains incredible alumni and advisory support. Individual brothers are often in top leadership roles, like student government president, and earn individual awards in the MC community.

A new home

After years in the Fraternity Complex, the Chapter will be relocating to a new house at 903 E. Broadway.  In just 18 months of fundraising, the generous brothers achieved their funding goal and secured a permanent ZBT house on campus. Learn more at the Monmouth College website.

As of the end of December, demolition is complete and renovation remains on schedule. Additional details regarding a ribbon-cutting and final celebration will be shared when a completion date is finalized.

Brotherly Love

Operational successes are important, but the brothers understand the true meaning of ZBT’s precepts and the heart of the Fraternity.

Delta Lambda Brother Douglas E. Liniger, 1987, is fighting a serious illness. The chapter undergrads organized a nice letter for Brother Lininger, sending well-wishes in his time of need.  He shared with ZBT that he was very touched by the outreach, and appreciated the importance of true Brotherhood at this stage in his life.

Special moment for the ZBT team

ZBT is proud to have some of the best fraternity industry professionals in the field on our professional staff – and one of our own was recently recognized by Monmouth.

Kristin Fouts, a 2003 MC alumna and member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, was inducted into the Monmouth College Fraternity and Sorority Hall of Fame as part of Homecoming festivities in October. Fouts is ZBT’s Director of Education and Chapter Development.

“I wouldn’t trade (my career in Greek Life) for anything,” Fouts said in her remarks to the Homecoming audience. “I love it because of the difference I can make, member by member. I’m eternally grateful that I said ‘Yes’ to Monmouth College and ‘Yes’ to Kappa Kappa Gamma.”
