A vision for a better world

The future of the Fraternity – being able to offer a Brotherhood for a Lifetime experience for years to come – is always the most important strategic priority of the international leadership of Zeta Beta Tau.

Recently, the Supreme Council, Zeta Beta Tau Foundation Board of Directors and ZBT National Housing Board of Directors adopted a shared Vision Statement. By working together toward this vision of fraternal excellence – toward a clear future – the Zeta Beta Tau organization aspires to continue to offer our brothers and supporters an ever-improving ZBT.

The newly adopted Vision Statement of Zeta Beta Tau is:

Forging Leaders, Bettering the World

Each organization in the Zeta Beta Tau family has a separate mission and objectives, but with this new vision at the forefront, each entity can do its part to move the Fraternity forward in the same direction.

Here’s to our Fraternity, may it live forever.

A mission statement declares the purpose an organization serves and concisely explains its reason for existence. The statements are action-oriented and audience-focused. The Fraternity, Foundation and National Housing share in the vision above but have separate goals – though all have a mission to support the brothers of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity.

The Mission of ZBT National Housing

ZBT Housing furthers Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity’s mission by identifying, cultivating, and supporting housing that supplements a comprehensive fraternity experience.

ZBT Housing seeks to provide chapters and colonies with the necessary resources to sustain and acquire, where appropriate, chapter housing solutions.

The Mission of Zeta Beta Tau Foundation

The Zeta Beta Tau Foundation is a nonprofit corporation exclusively committed to educational and charitable purposes that assist the collegiate and alumni brothers of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity.

The Foundation assists the collegiate and alumni brothers of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity by funding scholarships and academic and leadership programs to maximize their personal development and prepare them to be leaders of society.

The scholarships and academic and leadership programs funded by the Foundation enhance the overall value of brotherhood in Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity by complementing the collegiate educational experience.

The Mission of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity

The mission of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity (ZBT) is to foster and develop in its brotherhood the tenets of its Credo: Intellectual Awareness, Social Responsibility, Integrity and Brotherly Love, in order to prepare its brothers for positions of leadership and service within their communities.

Mindful of its founding in 1898 as the world’s first Jewish Fraternity, ZBT will preserve and cultivate its relationships within the Jewish community. Since 1954, ZBT has been committed to its policy of non-sectarian brotherhood, and values the diversity of its brothers. ZBT will recruit and initiate men of good character, regardless of religion, race or creed who are accepting of these principles.
